What we manage
Cloud is not one product. It is a tenant, a subscription, a server closet, and a stack of licenses that all have to work together. Here is what NEBIS actually takes on.
Microsoft 365 management
We run the tenant, not just the mailboxes. User onboarding and offboarding, license assignment, Exchange Online and SharePoint configuration, Teams and file-sharing governance, and security baselines in Entra ID: MFA enforced, conditional access scoped to how your people actually work, legacy authentication switched off, and admin roles narrowed to the few who need them.
Microsoft Azure
We deploy and manage Azure workloads: virtual machines, storage, networking, backup, and site-to-site connectivity back to your office. Resources get tagged so spend is traceable to a department, alerting is configured so failures surface before users report them, and access runs through roles instead of one shared global admin login.
AWS and Google Cloud
Not every business is Microsoft-only. We manage workloads in AWS and Google Cloud Platform, including compute, storage, identity, and backup. If you run across two clouds because of an acquisition or a software vendor's requirement, we manage both rather than selling you a migration you do not need.
Hybrid and on-premises
Plenty of Nebraska businesses still run a server room, and plenty should. Line-of-business applications, production systems, and large file shares do not always belong in a rented data center. We manage on-premises infrastructure and hybrid environments: domain controllers, hypervisors, local backup, and the identity sync that keeps on-prem and cloud accounts in step.
Cloud migration
A migration is a project with an end date, not a subscription. We inventory what you have, map the dependencies, decide what moves and what stays, and cut over in stages with a rollback path at every step. Mail and file moves run on a schedule your team can live with, and the old environment stays intact until the new one is verified.
Cloud cost and license optimization
Cloud bills grow quietly. Unused licenses, oversized virtual machines, storage nobody owns, two backup products doing the same job. We review your Microsoft 365 license mix against actual usage, right-size Azure resources, and flag what you are paying for twice. Then we tell you what to turn off.
Cloud backup and continuity
Microsoft 365 is not a backup, and a cloud server without a tested restore is a guess. We deploy backup across cloud and on-premises data, set retention that matches your obligations, and verify restores instead of assuming them. Continuity planning covers the unglamorous part too: who does what, in what order, when the environment is down.

A lot of cloud work gets sold as a migration and then abandoned as an environment. We treat the cloud the way we treat everything else we run: documented, monitored, reviewed, and owned by a named team. NEBIS is Nebraska-based, so when the hybrid half of your environment needs someone standing in front of it, a failed host, a new switch, a server room that has to move, we are in the state.
Tenant work is remote by nature, but the hardware is not. If your office is in Omaha or Lincoln, that is a drive. Every market we cover gets the same tenant administration either way.

Common questions.
Do you need to be a Microsoft partner to manage our Microsoft 365 tenant?
No. Tenant administration is a delegated-access function. You grant the admin roles we need, we manage the tenant under your own subscription, and you keep ownership of the licenses and the data. If you ever leave, the tenant stays yours and we hand the admin accounts back.
Can you support Microsoft 365 for a business in Papillion or elsewhere in Nebraska?
Yes. We serve Omaha, Lincoln, Bellevue, Papillion, La Vista, Fremont, Grand Island, and Council Bluffs, Iowa. Microsoft 365 administration is remote work by nature, so support is identical wherever you sit in the state. When something needs hands on hardware, we are Nebraska-based.
Is cloud management separate from managed IT, or part of it?
For most of our clients it is part of managed IT. If you already have internal IT staff and only need Azure or Microsoft 365 covered, we scope it on its own or run it alongside your team through co-managed IT.
Do we have to move everything to the cloud?
No. We manage on-premises and hybrid environments, and some workloads are cheaper, faster, or safer on hardware you own. The assessment tells you which of yours are, before anyone signs off on a migration.
Is Microsoft 365 already backed up?
Microsoft protects the platform. Your data is your responsibility. Retention policies and the recycle bin are not a backup: they will not cover you for a ransomware event, a malicious deletion, or an offboarding mistake found six months later. We deploy dedicated backup with restores that get tested.
How do you keep cloud costs under control?
We review license assignments and resource sizing on a regular cycle and report what can be cut. Spend creeps up through licenses assigned to people who left, virtual machines sized for a workload that shrank, and storage nobody owns. Reviewing it is part of the service, not a separate project.
Can you work alongside our existing IT staff?
Yes. Co-managed IT is a normal arrangement for us. Your team keeps the work it wants to keep, and we take the cloud administration, the after-hours load, or the projects nobody has time to finish.
